Waterborne: Great Lakes Past and Present
June 13 – August 1
Exhibit Opening: Saturday, June 13, 3pm
This exhibit shares the maritime history and culture of the Great Lakes through the works of regional artists. Exhibited art includes historical and contemporary photographs and artifacts that relate the Lake’s colorful maritime past. Waterborne bridges the worlds of art galleries and historical museums.
Benzie County-based maritime historian and exhibit curator Jed Jaworski will join us for the opening of the exhibit on and will share more information about the artists and how this exhibit came together.
This traveling exhibit was funded in part by the Rural Arts and Culture Program, made possible with the support of the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs in collaboration with the Traverse Area Arts Council.
