There are many great records out there that no one knows about. There are even tracks by familiar acts that never receive any airplay. Since the late 70’s, I’ve done a program which puts emphasis on these less-well-known tracks. If I think a record has merit, I’ll play it regardless of chart status (if any). I play familiar artists like Bob Dylan and The Beatles as well as more obscure artists like R. Stevie Moore and Flying Lizards. Sometimes I’ll include unreleased live material. Vintage rock, psychedelia, punk, post-punk, jazz fusion, straight-ahead jazz, electronica – whatever fits into a CD player, onto a turntable or through a broadband connection! Life’s too short to listen to the same handful of radio hits over and over again!
